Item Description
Stout, highly lustrous and striated stibnite blades in intergrown, radiating sprays form a very showy and excellent specimen from the famous Baia Sprie Mine of Romania. The bit of attached, wallrock matrix is a very nice accent, as most Romanian stibnites have no matrix. These stibnite blades are much broader, than typical Romanian stibnites and are far less common. This is choice material, probably from the 1980s and not available today, except in recycled collections. Ex William Hiss Collection. The former dealer label has a fairly priced $475 tag. Valued easily $750-950 today
