Item Description

Mineral specimens from the numerous mines in this old, extinct mercury-antimony district are very uncommon. This impressive two-sided piece hosts striking, parallel-growth, silver-metallic, stibnite blades to 6.8 cm (partially doubly terminated - the upper tip is bruised). The matrix is nearly solid stibnite dramatically complemented by the kaolinite. Very rare and most excellent older material from the Bob Trimingham Collection. Probably from the Ambrose Mine. A MUST for the species or locality collector. Value???
