Item Description
A rather hard to find specimen of Stibnite from the McLaughlin Mine in far northern Napa County, California. This locality was an old Au-Ag-Pb-Hg-Sb deposit which was first discovered in 1865 (mindat.org). This piece features beautifully crystallized "sprays" composed of dozens of highly lustrous, metallic, dark silvery-grey colored thin prismatic crystals measuring up to about 3.8 cm long, on minor matrix. Good size and quality and quite a showy example of this elusive material.
