Item Description
A very rarely seen specimen of Stibnite from the McLaughlin Mine in far northern Napa County, California. This mine was an old Au-Ag-Pb-Hg-Sb deposit that was first discovered in 1865 (mindat.org). This piece is a beautiful crystallized "spray" composed of dozens of highly lustrous, metallic, dark silvery-grey colored thin prismatic crystals measuring up to about 3.3 cm long, free of matrix. Good size and quality and quite a showy example of this elusive material.
