Item Description

A striking, dense intergrown jackstraw nest of lustrous, metallic-gray stibnite blades, to about 2.0 cm, dramatically rises up from the bit on matrix on this rich and very showy old-time minature from the famous and historic gold-silver-antimony deposits at Kremnica. This very fine 360-degree piece dates to the 1800s, according to the label of respected rarities dealer Josef Vajdak (Pequa Minerals). Ex David Burgess Collection, for whom Burgessite is named.
