Item Description
Baia Sprie is a historic mining district, with mines that date back to at least the 1400's. This gorgeous, old time Stibnite on Quartz well represents the very fine Stibnites that have been collected there. The individual sprays are well-defined, and they sit beautifully on the Quartz crystal matrix. The luster and striated surfaces of the Stibnites are excellent, with the crystals reaching almost 4 cm. As you can see from the pics, the aesthetics are superb. Finding this quality on the market is quite difficult. Formerly in the collection of H.L. Wachter. from the collection of Dr. Bob Byers, a stibnite specialist in California.
