Stibnite (old - rare style circa 1900)

Item Description

An old-time, showy combination specimen with a rare style of stibnite crystallization from the historic mines at Felsobanya. Tiny splendent metallic sprays and spherical aggregates of stibnite needles are richly clustered and scattered on both sides of the vuggy, mounded boxwork matrix of drusy quartz and barite blades. The Foote label on the bottom is easily over 100 years old. From an East Coast collection.
