Item Description

Stibnite crystals from the famous and long-closed Ichinokawa Mine of Japan are considered absolute classics. Primary production of these lustrous, silver-gray crystals was from 1875-1900. This cluster of good quality, striated crystals creates it's own pocket, with the largest Stibnite being 3.3 cm long. This small cabinet specimen is aesthetic and highly representative of the species and this famous locality. Considered the world's finest Stibnites until Romanian and Chinese material came to market. Even then, Japanese Stibnites hold a place of honor. Old Wards label, to boot. This is an excellent example of an old classic!
