A stunning example of classic old style stibnite from the most famous European locality for this species, and from which surviving specimens that meet today's criteria for quality are so few. This piece features razor-sharp, lustrous crystals to 4 cm, in a densely packed cluster that weighs several pounds. It is a stibnite, and yet sturdy and robust, not fragile and gracile as are so many (so, it can also be shipped, relatively safely, though we prefer to arrange hand delivery or courier express shipment). Even with so much production from China today, this stands out for aesthetics and style, plus it has the importance of being from the older locality. Remarkably free of damage in the core, except only one small ding on a crystal to the right side; and some broken edges on the periphery only. The display face is stunning, and all the sharp terminations point every which way for dramatic effect. Comes with a custom lucite base. Valued $9500.
