Stibnite (fine classic material)

Item Description

A fantastic, showy display specimen of the old classic Stibnites from the Herja Mine (the old Kisbánya locality) in Romania. This piece dates back several decades and features excellent, impressive, classic, highly aesthetic, lustrous, silvery-black colored, prismatic crystals forming gorgeous "sprays", free of matrix. The largest crystal measures 1.8 cm. The majority of the crystals are undamaged, though a few are contacted, but you really don't notice without looking very closely. The piece is sturdy, not terribly fragile, and displays beautifully as you can see. Minor bladed Baryte crystals can be seen on the base of the specimen. Valued at $2,500.
