Item Description

A fine example of this hard to find material from Nevada! The White Caps Mine of Nevada is well-known as the source of the finest Stibnite found in North America. This very fine and sturdy "V"-shaped group features a pair of brilliant, thick, metallic, rich silvery colored, prismatic crystals. Only minor roughness to the surface, but for the size of the crystals and the overall aesthetics, it's one of the best examples of Stibnite that I've seen from the locality. The mine produced intermittently from 1865 to about 1958. From the collection of N. A. Wintringham with a label from Phil Scalisi. Valued at $1,000.
