This locality in northern Romania actually dates back to the time of the Romans, and is one of the more significant European localities for Stibnite This piece is a very showy classic Romanian Stibnite specimen featuring a beautiful metallic "spray" of fairly thick, black-grey color prismatic crystals which are studded with a few orange colored Calcite groups. The largest Stibnite meaures 5.2 cm long. While a couple of the Stibnite crystals are contacted, the vast majority of them are fully terminated, which is more than can be said of many of the Stibnite specimens from this locality. Because the crystals are thick, the terminations are distinct and very well-formed. A superb small cabinet size matrix display specimen of this prized material. Priced at $1800 in the inventory.
