Item Description

This locality in northern Romania actually dates back to the time of the Romans, and is one of the more significant European localities for Stibnite. This piece is a very showy classic Romanian Stibnite specimen featuring beautiful metallic "sprays" of somewhat broad, silvery-grey color prismatic crystals which are bursting out to create this beautiful display piece. The largest crystal measures 2.1 cm. Very minor associated Pyrite can be seen as well. Great quality all around, and nearly all of the crystals are fully terminated, which is more than can be said of many of the Stibnite specimens from this locality. A nice display specimen of this prized material. Priced at $500.
