Item Description

Striking, silvery-bright, radiating sprays of acicular stibnite crystals in a jackstraw pattern form a showy specimen from the famous San Martin Mine, Zacatecas, Mexico. Portions of the stibnite are coated with tiny, iridescent, golden, magenta and peacock-blue, jamesonite needles for additional color contrast. Spanish production from this ancient mine started in 1555, 460 years ago! Ex. Dave Stoudt Collection.
