Item Description
Impressive, sculptural and rich large hedgehog of intergrown sprays of lustrous, stout, sharp, striated, flattened, metallic stibnite blades from the 1980s finds at this historic polymetallic mining district. The blades are nicely iridescent under bright light and reach about 4.5 cm. The noted periphery wear and few broken crystals in the interior, for all the crystal density, are certainly only a modest detraction. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $800 more over 13 years ago. The mines are all closed today. Classic, showy and rich stibnite from one of the world's great localities for the species.
