Item Description
Romanian stibnites are among the world's finest, along with those from the classic old-time finds at the Ichinokawa Mine of Japan and recent finds from China. This impressive large mounded piece is composed of two intergrown dense hedgehog clusters of sharp, brilliant metallic prisms with complex terminations. The striking crystal at the top is about 4.0 cm and the crystal on the left is about 3.7 cm long. For all the crystal density, there are actually few broken crystals, which are very minimally detracting to the dramatic presentation of this excellent 360-degree specimen. This fine piece is from the mid-1980s finds at the Breiner Mine. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $1200 more than 6 years ago.
