Item Description

Striking radiating fanspray of crystals with a good balance of slender, beautifully striated, sharply terminated, stainless steel-gray thick metallic Stibnite crystals from this well-known locale. The piece is highlighted by a number of divergent larger thick Stibnite crystals extending across the upper half of the piece as well as several naturally curved and very distinctive bent crystals adding to its visual allure. The best of these is the large 7.4 cm long by 1.4 cm wide multi-terminated bent crystal extending out on the right side. The highly defined striations on these crystals are awesome. The Stibnites have many tiny sparkling clear Calcite crystals associated with them. The well-terminated large crystals on the display side are in great condition, with a few broken crystals lower in the front. There is some contacting noted on the lower right side. The non-display side shows additional broken crystals and exhibits edge wear on a number of crystals that isn't seen from the front view. It also has more of a coating of Calcite crystals and pocket clay than the more impressive display side. This large specimen has great aesthetics with a highly desirable dramatic spray and superb striations. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl. Old style, probably from the 1990s.
