Item Description
Stephanite specimens are rare from this long extinct Sardinian silver mine. Splendent, sharp, crystals to 3 mm are scattered on both sides of the quartz wedge matrix. Rich ore, as one face is richly covered with scintillating silver sulfides? Hefty for the size at 379 grams. Ex Traverso and Pelloux Collections. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and obtained in a trade with the Bari Mineralogical Museum in 1978.
