Item Description

Mineral specimens of any type are rarely seen or available from the famous old mines at Pachuca, Mexico. This strikingly fine and showy thumbnail features two, sharp, striated, moderately lustrous, battleship-gray stephanite crystals.. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with the trivial bruising out of sight on the back. Outstanding material from this noted Mexican locale from the Howard Belsky Collection. This piece probably dates to the early 1900s, the 18th Century or older as the place goes way back. It is a beautiful specimen, locality aside, for this silver species. Comes with a copy of Howard's label, as this was a 2-piece lot.
