Item Description

Mineral specimens of any type are rarely seen or available from the famous old mines at Pachuca, Mexico. This very fine and showy mounded (largeish) thumbnail features sharp, striated, battleship-gray stephanite crystal nicely accented with gemmy and lustrous, amber, barite crystals. Outstanding combination material from this noted Mexican locale from the Howard Belsky Collection. This piece probably dates to the early 1900s, the 18th Century or older as the place goes way back.It is a beautiful specimen, locality aside, for this silver species.
