Stellerite (rare locale)

Item Description

The Malmberget iron mine is famous for superb golden calcite scalenohedrons from a one-time find, but has also produced excellent stellerite specimens, such as this very fine example. Discrete and aesthetic crystals, like these, are uncommon, as most specimens are intergrown clusters. Lustrous, translucent, rich honey-brown prisms are very attractively set on this showy and excellent piece.
