Stellerite (fine crystals) with Quartz

Item Description

An aesthetic and fine quality display specimen of these classic Stellerites from the Garrawilla Station locality in NSW, Australia. This locality is probably best known for producing eye-catching richly colored Heulandites, but the Stellerites deserve as much praise for the size, quality and color. This piece hosts several well-formed, peach-orange colored "sword"-shaped crystals of Stellerite measuring up to 4.2 cm, with tiny white aggregates of Quartz, and a very minor amount of matrix, to form a showy and desirable piece. The largest Stellerite group is actually doubly-terminated, as I can see a tiny pointed termination on the bottom. No real damage that I can find, it's so eye-catching!
