Stellerite and Chabazite

The large iron deposits at Rudny produced world-class Stellerite specimens during the early to mid-1990s, much of it brought to market by the Fersman Museum of Moscow in the 1990s. Rarely do you see the Stellerite from here associated with other species, especially Chabazite. This is an attractive example of this rare Rudny combination. The piece is composed of sparkly, translucent yellow-orange spheres of Stellerite crystals, to 1.8 cm. Resting among numerous sharp, lustrous, well-formed, peach-salmon colored rhombic crystals of Chabazite measuring up to 0.8 cm. The two minerals compliment each other in both color and form. Formerly in the Heinz Gugeler Collection and then in the De Natura (Les Presmyk) dealer stock.
