Item Description

Steenstrupine-(Ce) is a very rare complex silicate and this showy, excellent and rare combination piece is from the Type Locality area. The highlight is a sharp, well-placed, 1.2 cm trigonal crystal, with several more broken crystals plus a host of rare for the locale, parallel-growth aegirine prisms, all in the albite or sodalite matrix. The sharp crystal has only a tiny bit of bruising. Rare and showy combination material from the Copenhagen Mineralogical Museum.
