Sharp, crossed, staurolite twins are attractively scattered on the mica schist matrix on this showy and excellent, old-time, LARGE CABINET, plate from a very uncommon Maine locality in Kennebec County. The piece has an old, circa 1900 paper label glued to the front. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection and is from his very extensive and important New England sub-collection.
