Item Description
A fine, complete-all-around cluster of two twinned crystals showing the classic textbook "staurolite twin" which is known from other localities as well. This is a complete floater with nice luster for the species and symmetrical shape, that makes it superb for adding this rare species to any thumbnail collection. It was obtained from well-known thumbnail collector Jim Houran in 2015, and at the time he had built a fine thumbnail suite of sharp geometric specimens of various species. It is easy to get the common species, much more difficult to branch out and find things weird and rare like this, that also fit an aesthetics suite.
