Item Description
Staurolite from Georgia is best-known in the form of 'fairy crosses', usually embedded in matrix. This, however, is a very nifty large floater crystal with textbook angled cruciform shape. The pseudohexagonal, moderately lustrous brown crystal is sharply terminated and is pristine. Choice and uncommon large material. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection
