Item Description
Emplaced on a sparkling, gray muscovite schist is a double "X" twin of slightly lustrous, medium brown colored staurolite. The largest crystal measures 3.6 cm in length. The cyclic twins are harder to come by than the single twins, famous for here, that look like crosses. Old material, probably ex Fersman Museum, valued $750
