Staurolite (classic "cross" twin)

Item Description

A 4.1 cm, classic penetration-twinned "X" or "cross" of sharp, doubly terminated staurolite crystals is nicely set on sparkly muscovite schist from this well-known locale. The X is pristine on the front, nicely accented with more staurolite and the X spills over onto the back. The crystals also come as cruciform twins from here. This is a fine, highly representative example of the species and locale.
