Staurolite (classic "cross" twin)

Item Description

An impressive, classic large penetration-twinned "X" or "cross" of sharp, doubly terminated staurolite crystals on sparkly muscovite schist from this well-known locale. The large crystal is 5.2 cm and the X is pristine. The crystals also come as cruciform twins from here. More crystals on the back are a bonus. These are fairly stout crystals and this is fine, highly representative example of the species and locale.
