Although all Star Sapphires are cut into cabochons, the most amazing aspect of this stone is that it is a double-sided cabochon cut gem so it shows a star on BOTH sides of the stone! It is an amazing phenomenon that is only seen in a few gems around the world. The actual "legs" of the star in this stone are very sharp, with no breaks and excellent consistency throughout.
