Densely packed pearlescent straw-yellow star-like muscovite blades cover the sculptural upright starkly white feldspar matrix on this aesthetic piece from Brazil. These colorful pieces of the so-called "star mica" which occasionally come from here, are named for its complex habit which makes the individual crystals, when they stand out, look like little stars. Essentially pristine, except for the periphery wear. The piece display well without aid.
