Item Description

A sculptural and excellent, two-toned and two-sided, velvet malachite specimen from China. The dramatic, 3-dimensional, stalactitic side, hosts numerous "volcanic cinder cones" with craters spewing shimmering, dark green malachite "lava" onto the smaller green stalactites. The reverse side is sparkly, nubby/botryoidal malachite in vuggy furrows. The malachite cinder cone stalacitites really have a surreal look, which is enhanced by the chatoyant shimmer. Outstanding and unusual looking, two-sided malachite from old finds here 20 years ago. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!
