Item Description
Botryoidal fluorites are rare from anywhere, so these translucent purple botrydoidal specimens have been a big hit since they first came out a few years ago. Stalactitic forms, such as this very scultpural and dramatic large piece have been very uncommon and this is from a small recent find. The intergrown, parallel-growth stalactite clusters are striking. The color is a pretty lilac and it glows, when backlit. This very 3-dimensional piece was a wall plate that broke off. Numerous tubes, where the precipitating fluorite fluids flowed to form the hollow stalactites are clearly visible, especially on the back side. The stalactites are all in great shape. Showy and excellent material from this new find, that displays well from any side or angle. It looks like a brain.
