Item Description

This is certainly the most striking and unusual mimetite and wulfenite specimen were have offered at auction from the recent finds at the famed Mina Ojuela. Lustrous, translucent, olive-green, mimetite botryoids and/or gossan matrix comprise the dramatic, dense, organ pipe-like cluster of stalactites attached to the sturdy gossan matrix. The longest stalactite is 5.5 cm. A MAJOR surprise on the bottom are the lustrous, translucent, butterscotch-colored pseudocubic wulfenite crystals to 9 mm. The attachment points are on either side of the piece. Most of the stalactites were contacted against the roof of the vug. This remains a dramatic, RARE and very unusual 3-sided example of the combination and is in excellent condition. Try to find another of the habit! A must for the locality or species collector!
