At just over 1200 grams (1.2 kilos or about 3 pounds), this is a really big and dramatic gemmy spodumene crystal, with classic green color and a textbook shape. It is actually doubly-terminated, with a sharp "corner"-pointed termination at one end that grades into a white color at the tip; and a multiply-terminated end that has a more typical pointed termination. The color is pastel, but not pale, and remarkably uniform over the length of the crystal. Often, such crystals grade from pale to green or pink, and have a colorless zone. This is green-yellow throughout. This is literally directly from the mines, without any kind of cleaning or work done to it. It is nearly pristine, with just a few bits of trivial edge wear in context. One spot of indentation looks like damage, but is definitely not - it has small faces in that indent, and is natural crystallization or contact. Overall, this is an imposing and really quite dramatic piece, that looks good vertically (with either end atop) and horizontally!
