Item Description
A striking, perhaps UNIQUE bi-colored spodumene crystal from this obscure Minas Gerais pegmatite. One end the gemmy, etched, doubly terminated crystal is pretty bottle-green color of triphane var. hiddenite, a green varietal of spodumene. It is not hiddenite because the chromophore is not chromium, but it looks similar to that classic hue. The other end is water-clear, pink kunzite. The waxy luster crystal is pristine. The kunzite fluoresces orange. RARE material from the Matioli Collection. A must for the gem or locality collector. 19 grams mass.
