A wonderfully sharp, well-formed, GEMMY, light pink colored Kunzite crystal from Afghanistan. Keep in mind that a lot of Kunzite crystals from around the world are rarely as sharp as this piece, many of them are either rounded or etched, so a piece with such euhedral, smooth faces like this is not as common as you might think. The crystal has a pastel color when viewed on the "a" axis, but When viewed down the "c" axis, the color is a slightly stronger pinkish hue due to the pleochroism of the material. Not your run-of-the-mill Kunzite, and worth picking up as a great representative crystal from this most prolific gem producing region. Good crystallized Kunzites are only found in a few places on earth and Afghanistan is only place that produces them with any frequency these days. Weight is 14.7 grams.
