Item Description
This is a classic, good sized gemmy Kunzite crystal from the Kantiwa Pegmatite locality in Afghanistan. The piece is a good, sharp, well-formed, gemmy, doubly-terminated crystal with a beautiful combination of light purple and soft greenish hues. You rarely see such well-formed doubly-terminated Kunzite crystals from any locality, as they are often heavily etched, so their original crystal form no longer can be seen. The form and gemminess make this piece a great example from this most prolific gem producing region. A very attractive representation of this classic material. It's important to note that good crystallized Kunzites are literally only found in a few places on earth (Brazil, San Diego County and Afghanistan) in any real quantity. Specimen weight is 75.4 grams.
