Spodumene var. Kunzite (doubly terminated!)

Item Description

Impressive and imposing very large and doubly-terminated Kunzite "sword" characterized by a sharp slender form, a silky lustrous faces with a satin luster on the sides, and a lovely pink color that transitions to an almost clear chisel tip termination. This incredible 27.5 cm long crystal is also a thick 2.2 cm. In addition to the main crystal, there is one parallel crystal that terminates over half way up the side. The piece is in great condition with only a few bruises but acceptable given the massive size of the crystal. Light coming down the "c" axis, radiates through the crystal showing a stunning hot pink-lilac color. This Kunzite is a 360 degree delight and a dramatic statement specimen! The piece has a strong orange fluorescence under UV. Mass is 760 grams. Ex. Jack Halpern Collection No. 2917. A very visual and impressive piece, especially if standing vertically (and a custom base could easily be made here, to do so, in our basemaking lab).
