Item Description

This is a rare kunzite crystal with both intense pink color AND a razor sharp termination. Such sharp terminations, with clean edges and no etching or dissolution, are 1 in 100 for Afghani kunzite (or from anywhere, really). At 249 grams, this is a hefty crystal, about as robust and dramatic as you could ever ask for in a small cabinet sized single gem kunzite. The color is particularly stunning when lit from above or below, to ignite the c-axis with hot pink as the light goes through it like a fiber optic cable (as shown in our photo, using a strong light underneath - which you can compare to a more typical LED light used in the video). To that end, this has to be displayed correctly, but it will glow when you do that (with a proper base which can be made, ideally). This is mine run, purchased by Gene direct from a sourcing contact in Afghanistan, and has a few small dings, and could be cleaned to improve, but is truthfully good to show off just as it is, simply after coming out and being cleaned with water already (it has not been to a lab). As a final note, it is actually a floater doubly-terminated!
