Item Description
For whatever reason, most kunzite simply occurs as single crystals and clusters or matrix pieces are both uncommon, even despite the rich production in Afghanistan. This really gemmy, glassy cluster is not only rare in that it is a cluster, but that it has SHARP terminations without the usual signs of etching/resorption in the species. Most large kunzites show fuzzy terminations, to be blunt. Terminations with this sharpness are 1 in 100. An old piece from the Meieran collection, and not even cleaned in the lab as it still has pocket clay in cracks. It is complete all around. Valued $3500-plus.
