A classic GEMMY, purplish-pink colored Kunzite crystal from Afghanistan. The piece shows dramatic multi-crystallized terminations on both ends, due to a fair amount of etching, creating a unique and almost ethereal crystal The crystal has good color when viewed on the "a" axis, but When viewed down the "c" axis, the color is a slightly stronger pinkish hue due to the pleochroism of the material. A good representative Kunzite, and worth picking up as a nice example from this most prolific gem producing region. Good crystallized Kunzites are only found in a few places on earth and Afghanistan is only place that produces them with any frequency these days. Weight is 71.0 grams.
