Item Description
When it comes to gem quality Spodumene, some of the finest example are those from the various pegmatite localities in Afghanistan. This is a wonderful, doubly-terminated (multi-terminated) yellow Spodumene crystal, with no point of attachment, making it a complete "floater". The crystal has good luster all around, and the graceful hydrothermal etching gives it an almost ethereal appearance. I can't find any damage, and it's quite gemmy in areas. Specimen weight is 132.0 grams.
