Spinel with unknown mineral (ex Obodda)

Item Description

Sharp, lustrous, well-formed, dark blue octahedral crystals of Spinel measuring up to 2.5 cm sit on white marble matrix from this lesser known locality in Pakistan. The piece has a secondary association of an unknown mineral with a semi micaceous luster and a rounded growth. The piece comes from the dealer stock of Herb Obodda whose label state that the other species is unknown. Originally priced at $650 from 10 years ago, and certainly worth more today.
