Spinel w/ Pargasite on Marble

A very cool looking spinel specimen from Luc Yen. The marble matrix has been sculpted to look like a ribbed seashell! The 2.3 cm, gemmy and lustrous, ruby-red spinel octahedron is dramatically set in the "shell" and is beautifully complimented by glassy green pargasite sections. The spinel is nearly pristine. The lower right edge of the spinel is contacted, but has only a trivial bit of bruising. The base has been sawed and the piece displays well without aid. An adorable and artistic manmade Vietnam spinel specimen. Value??
