Spinel-twinned Gold crystals

A very artistic cluster of sharp, arborescent spinel-twinned gold crystals from an uncommon Venezuelan locale. The rich, mellow gold crystals look like fine feathers and have a distinct cartoon-like, biomorphic look. Some people have said that these are palladian gold, but they have not been analysed. Rarely available, the last batch of these trickled out 4-5 years ago.
