Item Description
Mineral specimens from this beautifully named, small-scale lead mine are very uncommon and showy specimens with this diverse mineralogy are RARE. The striking field of sharp, lustrous, battleship-gray galena crystals appear to be mostly spinel-twins upon close examination! Scattered on the front, sides and back are a very interesting and rare assemblage of accessories: tan siderite disks; sparkly micro pyrite crystals; quartz crystals; AND very rare flattened polybasite micro crystals! As Bob Trimingham states on his label, this piece "Needs study." Purchased from respected Frazier's Minerals in 1985. A REAL rariety and very showy. Value???
