Item Description
Striking, mirror-bright metallic luster, parallel-growth, stepped-growth spinel-twinned galena crystals, to 5.7 cm, are dramatically set upright on the matrix studded with slender, gemmy quartz crystals. Other equally shiny smaller blocky galenas are in front and behind the spinel-twins. The piece displays beautifully without aid. A very fine two-sided Madan, Bulgaria spinel-twinned galena with quartz! The photos show you how dramatic the symmetry is, and the video might capture the luster - it is a gorgeous, mirror-like specimen in person. These generally came out in the 1990s and early 2000s, and not in this quality since. Valued $2500.
