Item Description
This specimen is a showy and fine quality example of the now well-known Spinel specimens from Vietnam. This small cabinet sized piece came out of the ground about around 2007, and is one of the better small cabinet / large miniature sized specimens I have offered from this locality in the auctions. A predominant, 2.2 cm, sharp, lustrous, well-formed octahedral twinned crystal (a genuine Spinel-law twin) of beautiful purple Spinel is perched atop white marble, along with additional spots of uncrystallized Spinel and a small amount of orange colored Chondrodite. Sharp twinned crystals of Spinel of this size on matrix are not common in the mineral world. Priced at $2,000 in our inventory.
